There’s something about the blues that feels like survival and living at the same time.
I wanted this piece to feel like a moment caught in between notes—the guitar in his hands, the smoke hanging in the air, and a face that looks like it has lived enough life to have something worth playing about.
The colors are intentionally muted and warm, while the loose lines and visible marks keep the work feeling human. I’m not interested in making everything perfect. I want you to see the hand in it. The imperfections. The decisions. The things that only happen when someone actually sits down and makes something.
